Author Guidelines

1) MANUSCRIPTS. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to Managing Editor Sara Greer at imjnt.editor @ gmail.com (no spaces), in MS Word, as an attachment to an email.  Please send all attachments in a single email if possible.

2) ORIGINAL ARTICLES. Authors of a manuscript to this journal warrant this represents an original work, and that neither this manuscript nor a version of it has been published elsewhere unless specifically reported as such.

3) FINANCIAL INTEREST. Authors are expected to have no financial interest in a company or its competitor that makes a product discussed in that article, review or editorial.

4) CONTACT INFORMATION. At the time of electronic submission, the primary authors will identify the person to contact, and contact information, for communications about the manuscript during the review and editing process.

5) KEYWORDS. Please provide up to ten keywords for index purposes.

6) COPYRIGHT. All authors submitting an article, review or editorial for publication acknowledge the right of the International Medical Journal for Natural Therapies to publish their final submission on the Internet and in hard copy.

7) ABSTRACT. An abstract of not more than 250 words must be provided with the submission. The abstract should briefly describe the issue addressed in the study, how the study was performed, the results, and the authors conclusions.

8) SUBMISSION FORMAT. The entire paper, including all required attachments, is to be double-spaced for easy reading. Please use a one-inch margin on the top, bottom and sides of your paper. The author is responsible for preparing manuscript copy which is clearly written in acceptable, scholarly English, and which contains no errors of spelling, grammar, or punctuation. The author is responsible for typing the final manuscript in the appropriate style for meeting the requirements necessary for publication.  Please do not use colored text, highlighted sections of text, or colored backgrounds behind text in your submission.

9) DETAILED INFORMATION REQUIRED. Authors using equipment as part of their intervention must adequately describe their recording methods and parameters. Simply naming the equipment and model number they are using is not sufficient. Details about amplification, filtering, spectral extraction, windowing, and other technical parameters are required. This information is available in manuals, and if not there, should be obtained from the manufacturer.  Likewise, with an intervention which does not use equipment, authors must include full details of the method used and of the preparation and administration of any substances used, including details such as dosage, frequency, method of administration, etc.

10) ARTWORK AND TABLES. All images, artwork and tables must be included in the text when submitted unless otherwise arranged with the Managing Editor. All images, artwork and tables will usually be printed in full color so authors should create their artwork accordingly.

11) MANUSCRIPT REVIEW. Authors will be blind to reviewers and reviewers will be blind to each other. Suggestions for revision will be forwarded to the authors. Authors will be notified once their revised submission is accepted for publication. Rejected papers will not be returned but authors will be notified as soon as possible after the thirty day review period has expired.

12) PRE-PUBLICATION NOTICE. The final manuscript will be emailed to all authors for final reading. Authors will have five business days to make any final changes and correct any errors.

13) REPRINTS. Reprints will be available through the IMJNT website at no cost when approved by the authors. Authors will be given links for this purpose.

14) QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS. Please address all questions and comments to the Managing Editor Sara Greer at imjnt.editor@ gmail.com (no spaces).
